Dr. Lucienne Talba
Economist | Senior Consultant | Lecturer

Welcome

Bridging data and decision-making across academia and industry.

I’m a quantitative economist with a dual passion: advancing research in digital economics, gender, and financial risk—and applying those insights to solve real-world problems in society.

Currently, I serve as a Senior Consultant at Blossoming Management Consulting (BMC), where I develop and implement financial risk models using advanced econometric and statistical techniques. I also lecture at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto, where I teach and mentor students in economic policy and data-driven analysis.

My academic journey began with a PhD in Economics from the University of Montréal, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. My research explores how economic structures shape social outcomes—for example, how the historical domestication of cattle influenced gender roles across societies.

Whether I’m building models for financial institutions or guiding students through complex economic theories, I bring a rigorous, interdisciplinary approach to every challenge.
